NAKA is a blind box.  If you’re not familiar with the concept of a blind box, it’s a sealed package that contains a mystery figure from a themed series – in this case, it’s from my NAKA series.  NAKA is not only a blind box but also a political climate statement about the deforestation occurring in the Amazon Rainforest.

The NAKA figure has two sides depicting anger and happiness. The box also contains an identity card that details the name, image, and characteristics of the NAKA figure you received, along with the reasons for its endangerment in the Amazon.

Projects

A font created in Glyphs that was inspired by a drop of water creating a ripple effect. I learned fluidity and spent time working intricately to make sure the font looked cohesive with the lettering.  This font works best with lighthearted and easy-going designs.

A corporate report with a soft, sleek design that is easy to read, with a purposeful layout to help the reader better understand the information presented.

While visiting the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum in NYC, I created a more user-friendly, accordion-style pamphlet for guests that served as a tour guide.  The map allows guests to navigate a recommended tour route with highlighted key areas within the map, such as seating areas, restrooms, etc. There is also a QR code in the back of the pamphlet if guests prefer a mobile version of the map.

While working with the College of Arts & Sciences (CAS) at Adelphi University, I created numerous flyers and posts relating to higher education.  During my time with CAS, there was an increase in interaction and engagement on their social media page.  Under my management, the account saw growth in followers, likes, and reposts - a 15% increase overall.  I started working for Adelphi as an intern, but continued working as a social media account manager to continue growing CAS’ social media presence.

Experience

I am a skilled designer with experience in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite and a strong foundation in digital design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects. I have developed my skill in typeface creation using Glyphs while crafting intuitive user experiences through UX/UI design using Figma. My work is characterized by keen attention to detail, a commitment to audience-centered design principles, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
